Helpful Tips
If you are a bride, you can help your look by following the tricks of the
trade that Dawn Brides uses on the Stars!
Your Canvas
- Start
planning and preparing months ahead of the wedding so you know exactly how you
want to look and that your hair and skin are in perfect condition. The bride is definitely
the star of the show at her wedding so it's important that she look stunning; just think
of all those photographs!
- Start using a lip balm or moisturizer -- color fades unevenly on dry, chapped
lips.
- Don't use harsh treatments on oily skin -- you could actually stimulate the
oil production in your skin. Instead, create a skin care routine using cleansers and balancers that have been
customized for your skin type.
- Get your last regular facial a week before the wedding.
- If you rarely have facials, don't get one within a month of the wedding.
- It all begins with your skin. We know that you take care of your face, drink
plenty of water and stay out of the sun.
- Have your brows professionally shaped and then keep them up by plucking the
strays every few days. I will pluck strays the day of the shoot, but may not have
time to shape your brows.
- All traces of makeup should be gone from your skin. All eyeliner and mascara
should be gone. Your face should be clean and product-free when we start.
- Your hair should be clean and dry for the day.
- We will do your make-up different than you have had it done before.
This is because we need to compensate for the fact that a camera sees us differently than the human eye. We
want it to last as long as it can and for you to still look fresh, light and clean.
